Our Need for Prayer

We live in a world that is becoming increasingly secular and void of the Word of God. The only solution, in my opinion, is for believers in Christ to come together and lift our voices in prayer to our heavenly Father. We need to pray for those who reject the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We need to be humble before the Father, and ask for forgiveness for not fearing and honoring Him in everything that we do. We need to pray for the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob to reveal Himself to us and to heal the hurt, the pain, and the suffering in our world today. We need to fervently seek His face, especially during these turbulent times.

As James 5:16 points out (New Living Translation), “The Christian’s most powerful resource is communion with God through prayer. The results are often greater than we thought were possible. Some people see prayer as a last resort to be tried when all else fails. This approach is backward. Prayer should come first. Because God’s power is infinitely greater than ours, it only makes sense to rely on it – especially because God encourages us to do so.”

May God richly bless you as you lift up your prayers to the Lord today!
